Mpenjati Nature Reserve – South
- Habitats: Estuarine lagoon, mangrove patches and coastal forest.
- Key species: Osprey, African Fish Eagle, Water Thick-knee, Barratt’s Warbler, Blue-mantled Crested Flycatcher.
- Facilities: Viewing hides overlooking the water and wooden boardwalk trails.
Mpenjati Nature Reserve – North
- Habitats: Open coastal grassland and riparian vegetation.
- Key species: African Marsh Harrier, Yellow-throated Longclaw, and various migratory waders.
- Facilities: Open lawn areas, picnic spots and trail access to the river mouth.
